The “Big Day” is fast approaching. You’re arranging for flowers and food, dresses and dancing. You’ve identified a DJ, and matched cummerbunds to bridesmaids dresses. You’ve been arranging travel and housing for family and in-laws.

And now you want to pitch it all and elope.

You might not feel that extreme about things, but chances are that if you’re planning a wedding, you’re feeling stressed. But how do you get other people to hear your side of the story? What do you do to show that you’re truly listening to the ideas of family and friends, even if you don’t plan to use plaid as one of your patterns?

At Operation Us, we think that your engagement is an important time to begin building the foundation for a life-long marriage. Whether you’re getting married at city hall, your family’s church, or the Carribean, we’re offering workshops to help you learn to communicate better and deal with conflict more positively. These skills can save a marriage. More importantly, they can save a wedding!

What Workshops Are Right for You?

With This Ring

This workshop is intentionally designed to help engaged couples “manage the people stress of wedding planning,” and incorporate concepts from PREP® and The First Dance. You’ll learn communication and conflict management skills that will help you keep from becoming an outlaw to your in-laws. Even better, the skills you learn will help to make your marriage healthier and stronger.

Couple Connection

Based on concepts from PREP®, these workshops provide useful information to any couple – dating, married, or remarried. You’ll learn valuable communication and conflict management skills, while focusing on building a strong, healthy couple relationship.
