On August 1 & 2, Operation Us held a Relationship Smarts Plus workshop in Republic. The 2-day event was a hit! Over 30 teens attended this workshop.
Talking about love with clay and pipecleaners
In the photos above and below, teens use arts and crafts materials to physcially sculpt their ideas about what relationships are like. The physical act of modeling the idea helps to make the ideas concrete, even if they've never thought about them before.

January 23 - 25, 2008, Operation Us hosted a facilitator training for the "Survival Skills for Stepcouples" program.
Seventeen facilitators were trained by the folks at Family Wellness Associates in the curriculum we'll be using to work with stepcouples. This program is specifically intended to help couples address the unique needs when starting a marriage involves more than 2 people.
